Hi, I'm Chrissy
Hi, I'm Chrissy de Neve, 38 years old, interior designer and Authorized SketchUp Trainer. Together with my husband, son, and our dog Cooper (who is often in our office and provides much-needed cheer), we live in Haarlem. From my own 3D visualization studio in Haarlem, I support interior professionals with technical drawings, photorealistic 3D visualizations, and training in SketchUp, LayOut, and Enscape.
Interior design has been my greatest passion for years. While most people dread renovating or moving, it energizes me. I have moved nine times in my life and have had the opportunity to completely redesign and furnish two homes from scratch. In 2023, I decided to follow my passion and founded House of Neve. I studied Interior Design at the NIA Academy and obtained my certification as an Authorized SketchUp Trainer at Design8. Now, I help interior professionals daily to work smarter, faster, and more professionally.
The name House of Neve
The name House of Neve holds special meaning for me. Neve is my husband's last name. Long before we started our ventures together, we came up with the name House of Neve (our little house): a place where we once dreamed of building our businesses together. Now, that shared dream has become a reality, and we both work from our office in Haarlem. In 2024, I took his last name, which makes it feel like everything has come full circle. A nice detail: House of Neve (Niev) is pronounced in English. I think it sounds a bit more chic and suits my company better.
My husband and I also run woodykids.com, our webshop with wooden toys and accessories for children that fit beautifully into a modern interior. The idea arose when we ourselves were looking for toys that are not only fun for children, but also look good in the home. When we could hardly find any, we decided to offer them ourselves.
My Mission
Six months ago, I consciously decided to stop offering interior design advice to private individuals. Not because I don't enjoy the profession. I am and will remain an interior designer. But I noticed that my greatest passion lies in supporting interior professionals. That's precisely where I can add the most value with my knowledge and experience. Of course, I am always open to a special or inspiring interior project that comes my way, but my daily focus is entirely on helping professionals within the interior industry.
My mission is to help interior professionals work more efficiently, professionally, and with greater pleasure. I believe that designers should be able to spend as much of their time as possible on what they are truly good at: designing, guiding clients, and growing their business. By working smarter and utilizing high-quality 3D visualizations, more room is created for creativity, quality, and entrepreneurship. That's what I get my energy from every day.
